The Beatles – White Album

Only The Beatles can compete with The Beatles when it comes to, well, The Beatles. Truly, in the 60’s The Beatles were setting a precedence for what a bad could do and encompass in their identity.

Moving away from the symphonic elements of the near perfect, Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, The Beatles embrace a more Western influence to their sound while simultaneously creating a sprawling, overflowing, and at times – confusing – self-titled album.

But somehow, (and maybe it’s because it’s The Beatles) it works. Through the mess rises a style and sound now synonymous with THE White Album.

Whether or not you like The Beatles, they are deeply embedded in the DNA that is rock n’ roll and their library of music is a testament to music and bands that followed.

Perhaps this is The Beatles at their most human on an album. It’s personal, it’s honest, it’s confusing and messy – it’s life.
