One fella gets all the credit for my radio career: Santa.
For more than a decade, I was a newspaper reporter in Ontario.
Then, a recession hit and the big boss man laid me off, just after I’d hosted the city’s Christmas tree lighting ceremony with St. Nick.
Apparently, Father Christmas thought I was a bad girl and tattled to my supervisor.
Who gets the boot after they co-host with Kriss Kringle? This naughty girl.
But it worked out perfectly because I switched to telling stories on air at Q107.
I love fishing, my family, old time rock & roll, and sports.
I have the esteem distinction of being the only DJ in the history of radio to have been fired more times than I’ve been hired.
There is no such thing as a stupid bet (or bad beer).
Life’s too short not to have fun; which is why I love working with Sarah and Eric (yes, they can be annoying, but also a ton of fun)!
Originally from Ontario, I – like most transplants in Alberta – instantly fell in love with the people and the mountains.
When it comes to higher learning, Springsteen said it best, “We learned more from a 3 minute record than we ever did in school.”
