For the first time in its 24-year history, Betty’s Run for ALS will be taking place virtually. Since its humble beginning in 1997, Betty’s Run has raised over $7.8 million for client support services in Alberta and national ALS research. As the world responds to the global COVID-19 pandemic, and as we continue social distancing to prioritize the safety of our families and community, we have decided to celebrate the 24th Annual Betty’s Run for ALS online, and inspire care, hope, and community for those living with and affected by the disease. The event will take place on Sunday June 21, ALS Global Awareness Day, and will be joined by several Walks to End ALS across the province.
This virtual event encourages participants to run, walk, wheel, or ride from any location that they choose as they continue social distancing, and share their experiences online using the hashtag #Bettysrun. Registration is now open at www.bettysrun.ca.
